For babies who haven't had a newborn hearing screening or did not pass their first screening. The goal is for all babies to have a hearing screening at birth and a rescreening if needed by at least 1 month of age. We use AABR technology and provide follow-up resources and recommendations.
A complete hearing evaluation for babies around 7 months and younger who did not pass their hearing rescreening, had a NICU stay, or have other risk factors for hearing problems. We include Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) and other appropriate tests.
Because ABR does not require a child to respond behaviorally, we also sometimes use ABR to assess an older child's hearing when there's difficulty with other hearing tests.
For around 7 months through 21 years of age. Tests are selected based on your child's developmental age to fully assess their hearing and guide management of hearing difficulties. When appropriate, we can also screen for speech or other developmental concerns and recommended follow-up.
We offer a holistic approach for helping children and teens with tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia. This service is available through video anywhere in Georgia (we are hoping to expand to other states later in the year) or in home in central Georgia.
Help with hearing aids, earmolds, remote microphone systems, or other assistive devices. Video visits are available once established.
We offer earplugs custom made for your ears and needs, including musician's earplugs and loud noise or water protection.
Please reach out if you don't see the availability you need or the answer to your question.
For pediatric audiology, we see patients until their 22nd birthday. Leading up to that time, we help transfer care to a clinic that sees adults.
