"Hello, I'm a pediatric audiologist helping infants, kids, and teens with hearing difficulties and sound sensitivities. I enjoy this work because I know it's not just about sounds, but about improving communication and relationships, literacy and other academic successes, and a rippling impact for each child and their family.
My practice focuses on accurate assessment, evidence-based treatment, and compassionate counseling. Considering the specific needs of each child and their family, I meet them where they are and equip them for the road ahead while working collaboratively with other care team members."
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Audiology (University of Tennessee, 2009); Doctorate in Audiology (East Tennessee State University, 2015)
Certifications/Affiliations: Board Certified in Pediatric Audiology by the American Board of Audiology; Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association; Certified Breastfeeding Specialist
Research Topics: Listening self-efficacy; Effectiveness of newborn hearing screening training protocols
Clinical Settings: Rural and large metropolitan newborn hearing screening programs, county school system, ENT, and children's hospital settings

"My husband and I moved to the Lake Oconee area with our two children in 2020. When I'm not working with patients or staying up to date on research, I'm usually enjoying time with my family taking care of our 'farm,' at school or sports events, or volunteering with toddlers at church."
